The design of e-cigarette products can never avoid the problem of airflow. The size of the airflow determines the adequacy of the smoke oil atomization, which directly affects the amount of smoke; the airflow speed affects the throat hit and taste-too fast will make the taste strong, and too slow will appear bland.

After 5 months of debugging, we finally found the best balance point and added an airflow resistance adjustment knob on the top of the main body, so that users can adjust the airflow according to their preferences and enjoy a more comfortable experience.

Consider your hookah type-discussion on the size of hookahs

At present, in the traditional hookah industry, hookahs can be divided into three types according to size: small, medium, and large. If divided by style, there are dozens of types. However, no matter how the appearance changes, the design function of the hookah remains the same, and it is more of a visual difference.

We put aside the appearance changes of traditional hookahs and focus on product performance testing on three sizes.

First of all, we strongly recommend medium hookahs.

One of the reasons is the balance of its ventilation volume, and the second is the reasonable length of the airway. Regarding the airway length, our definition is: the overall distance from the top of the hookah head to the bottle body and then to the leather tube.

From the test results, the effect of airway length on taste is obvious. The longer the airway, the more obvious the reduction of flavor and sweetness. The short airway of the small hookah performs best in restoring flavor and sweetness.

However, medium-sized hookahs are more adaptable in size and usage scenarios. In daily use, medium-sized hookahs are used most frequently. In the sales data of traditional hookahs, the sales volume of medium-sized hookahs accounts for more than 65% of the overall market. Based on this market feedback, we referred to the medium-sized standard when designing the silicone plug of the electronic hookah head.

In addition, the size of the hookah also has a direct impact on the battery life of the product.

The relationship between the size of the hookah and the battery life was not our initial focus, but gradually emerged in the test. The larger the capacity of the airway and the bottle body, the higher the storage demand for the smoke.

In the test, we found that the large hookah requires more smoke than the medium one to achieve the ideal experience effect. On this basis, the battery life of the electronic hookah head will have an additional consumption of about 25%.

As for why the small hookah is not recommended first, the answer is also simple.

The ventilation volume of the small hookah is small, the airway is short, and the degree of restoration of sweetness is high. This feature may seem too sweet and unfriendly to users who pursue the traditional experience of Arabic hookahs.

Therefore, after comprehensively considering the fragrance restoration, battery life performance and usage scenarios, the medium-sized hookah became our first choice.
